Welcome to 2019...

So... This is the new and improved blog that I have created. Here you will find all sorts from baking, photography tips and tricks, life hack and so on.... This is what I would have said IF I actually made any changes to this here blog that you clicked on. This should have been my new years resolution but I don't see much point in making them especially since I never stick to them. But it's actually the same old same old stuff. Hopefully a bit more frequent than the last 2 years but hey, we've all got to start somewhere don't we.

Due to me being busy at work and thr NVQ that I currently have 3 months left of, I have decided to give you some ideas on how to start February fresh and not feel bad if your dry January has turned tits up.

First off, think of January like the one month free trial that you get sometimes with online services. It's the one month that you can do anything you like (with in reasons of course) and then once the 'free trial' is over you can choose to do the same again or change it. Febuary is the month you need to concentrate on, the month that's going to get you going to the gym, the month that's going to motivate you to carry on for the rest of the year. And for that I know that you know that whatever your dream may be, allow February to give you the foundation that you need to keep going. And maybe by the time January comes back around again, you'll feel as if you can still keep going even after that Christmas bashing that you gave yourself.

Second of all, plan out your goals, write them down, make them look all fancy dancy, go bananas with your creativity, let it all flow. The more structured your plan is, the more likely you are to reach your goals. Like one of my all time favourite quotes state. "Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world." I'm not sure who first wrote this quote down, but it's one of the many quotes that I have found on Google as I scroll through to look for a quote of the day. Planning and listing is ultimately one of my favourite tasks that do, it's so relaxing and it really does help. Vision boards are another thing that can help you. They offer great motivation and also when you see your goals all written down, your way more likely to make them happen. This is why I do a to do list on my phone before going to sleep every night. Vision boards are a great way to express your self and let's your creativity flow. You can literally pit anything there. Print off pictures, go through catalogues and magazines and look for some quotes that you like or use letters from them to spell out a few words. I'm currently in the process of making one myself. And I shall let you know how I'm getting on with it.

My third tip is set your dreams and goals to something realistic, something that's high enough to keep you motivated, but isn't too high that you give up before even starting. We as humans tend to set ourselves goals that are way too realistic and after a while we think to our selves that it's too much work and me give up. It's the mind set that many many people have and this is why none of them succeed in their dreams. It's because they set their goals too high. My current goal is to loose 5 stone in 3 months. This i feel is durable for me, but at the same time I'm in the situation where because I'm a chef, my job is to literally cook food and tasting it to make sure it's the correct flavour, texture and to make sure that it is perfect. This is a hightened situation especially since that the restaurant that I work in is a Michelin starred restaurant. So everything must be perfect if not better than perfect.

Lastly, believe in yourself. People have a tendency to put themselves down if one thing goes badly. Use it as your motivation. Use it to improve and learn from the mistakes that were made that gave you a little blip in your goals. If one small blip stops you then what's the point of dreaming about it. Also don't let anybody else bring you down either. Its the one thing that I feel that keeps me motivated. Seeing people's faces when I've proven to them that I can do it is so very satisfying. It gives them a sense of guilt for not believing in you and makes them feel bad for putting you down. There's always going to be people there that's going to make you feel like absolute $#*!. Their always going to try to beat you and make you feel bad about yourself but think of them as your high school bully. The ones that were constantly there picking on you for no reason at all. Their only jelouse of you because you have that one thing that they don't have and that is will power. Get your friends there too. They can help you along your journey. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer is what I believe they say. Your friends are always going to be there to support you and give you the best advise, and your enemies are going to be there to give you motivation.

I now think that I have blabbed on for long enough. And I'm going to leave it to you guys to make it your desicion as to what your going to do with your life. And maybe, just maybe you'll be strong enough to carry on with the effort that your now going to make. And for that I'm off.
